Scripture
Matthew 28:20 – “And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Devotional Thought
Ecclesiastes leaves us longing for something greater than life under the sun can provide.
We long for comfort in suffering, rest from striving, relationships that do not fail,
and hope that does not fade. The answer to that longing is found in Jesus Christ.
He entered our brokenness, carried our sin, and rose again so we could be brought
into the presence of God forever.
Jesus does not merely give advice for difficult seasons—He gives Himself.
He promises His continual presence. That means you are never truly alone.
When you are weary, He is with you. When you are afraid, He is with you.
When you fail, He is with you. The Christian life is not about proving ourselves
through endless striving; it is about abiding with the Savior who already finished
the work on our behalf. The redeemed life is found not in what we achieve,
but in who walks with us every step of the way.
Questions for Reflection
- Where do you most need to remember the presence of Jesus today?
- How would your life look different if you truly believed He is always with you?
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for never leaving me or forsaking me.
Thank You for entering into my suffering and carrying what I could never carry alone.
Teach me to rest in Your presence instead of striving to prove myself.
Help me walk closely with You and live each day in the confidence that I belong to You. Amen.
